A Special Task Force (STF) of Ludhiana police has booked Ludhiana Sabzi Mandi (vegetable market) president Gurkamal Singh Ellu on Friday for planting drugs within the vehicle of the arhtiya (commission agent),
Police had on September 20 arrested Mukesh Kumar alias Khali, a labourer in the vegetable market,for hiding 500 gram opium and 180 intoxicant pills within the vehicle from the arhtiya, Manoj Kumar Monu using the aim of implicating him inside a situation of drug peddling.
Sub-inspector Gurcharan Singh from the STF stated that in analysis, they discovered that Ellu had hatched the conspiracy to implicate Monu. Mukesh had tipped from the police after hiding the drugs.
The Sub-Inspector added that Ellu continues to be nominated within the situation along with a search is on for his arrest.
